Buffet Dinner @ Latest Recipe, Le Meridien KL

Posted by | Posted in Sam | Posted on 28-01-2010

Went for the buffet dinner at Latest Recipe, Le Meridien KL last night. 1st time being there. Everything seems so nice; the interior of the restaurant, the food sections are all well organized. Well, there are few varieties of food; Chinese, Indian, Western, Japanese & Malay. Although nothing special or to shout of but the taste still good especially the teppanyaki. I likes the prawn & fish teppanyaki, the taste is just nice with the combination of mayonnaise & japanese teriyaki  sauce (I guess). I didn’t take much photos yesterday as I was busy trying all the food there. But still I didn’t got the chance to try out all the food there because I was too full already.

My mum cooked very nice & tasty curry chicken. Her curry chicken is no. 1 in my heart, as I’ve tried so many different curries from all over the places but still can’t beat my mum recipe. Last night she cooked curry chicken, so I have taken some for tonight dinner. Kon Lou Wantan Mee with Curry Chicken & Fried Wantans. Sounds delicious, right? It’s delicious! I will learn her recipe but not sure can be so delicious or not.. just wait and see….

Thanks to my dearest mummy.

I will cook lunch for myself and hubby lately. This is because there isn’t much selection near my office. So I decided to cook my own lunch and bring to work. My colleagues always said I’m so assiduous to wake up early in the morning to cook the lunch.

Sometimes I just don’t know what to cook for dinner. Lazy to cook for tonight so decided to make pasta. Hubby cook the pasta while I preparing the sauce for the pasta. As I was lazy tonight, I just use the Prego Alfredo Sauce. I just sauté the shrimps, scallops & chicken fillets and add in the sauce. Ta… da…. the dinner is done. Nothing fancy but still filled up our empty stomach.

Dinner as usual. My mother-in-law made some special sambal for us. Tonight I used the sambal for the 1st for the fish. Firstly, I pan-fried the fish then I sauté the sambal and pour on top of the fish. The sambal is so nice to eat with the fish.

Thanks to mother-in-law.

Chinese New Year is near, I’m sure most of the people already started to buy all the stuffs for the festive like new clothes, new items to decorate the house and most important cookies. I’ve heard from a friend many many years ago that this bites are easy to be prepared but never knew it’s really that simple. Bought the caramel powder the other day and only tried out the recipe tonight. It’s just very simple and not time consuming at all, which only took about 15 mins. 1st time baking this bites, well guess I’ve over-baked it but the taste still nice and crispy. Will definitely bake again for Chinese New Year..
